I’ve enjoyed my time with the game, so get ready to jump in.
Hormagaunt
The most basic and the most numerous of your Tyranid opponents is the Hormagaunt.
They’re slightly tougher than Hormagaunts, but are still easily disposed of with most weaponry.

Just one isn’t a threat, but you’ll never fight just one.
The most common variants wield bone blades, but you’ll also encounter Warriors wielding whips and ranged weapons.
Spore Mine
Spore Mines tend to float in large groups, waiting to dive bomb you.
If they connect, they’ll deal massive damage.

Fortunately, they can easily be shot from a distance, but don’t use your heavy weapons.
Instead, just use your sidearm.
Gargoyles will attempt to chew through something it’s crucial that you defend, like chains or transmitters.

Weak, but with ranged firepower.
Use a fast-firing ranged weapon like an Auto Bolt Rifle to quickly dispose of them.
If you have the Auspex ability, it can easily reveal the creature’s location while invisible.
Otherwise, stay on your guard and get ready to parry.

The backbone of the swarm.
Krak grenades are a serious boon in dealing with these creatures.
Zoanthrope
Zoanthropes are floating Tyranids that resemble a giant mouth and a tail.
Neurothrope
The Neurothrope is a more evolved, improved version of the Zoanthropes.

Beware the green mist.
Watch out for the green glow of energy that it uses to scour the battlefield.
Unload every bit of firepower you have, staying light on your feet to dodge and reposition.
Stay on your feet and just keep hammering it with headshots.

Swirling clouds of death.
The Chaos forces in this game hail from the Thousand Sons Traitor Legion.
Tzaangor
Tzaangors are mutants, Abhumans, that serve Tzeentch and his sorcerers.
They can be encountered randomly in any Operations where the forces of Chaos are present.

Pouncing from the shadows.
These nearly-empty shells still take orders from the sorcerers above them, unleashing concentrated firepower on their targets.
Bring out your heaviest weapons to punch through their armor and execute them as quickly as possible.
When vulnerable, target their heads with your Bolters.

That’s how they get you.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has ahuge roadmap extending into 2025, with new Operations missions being added.
If you haven’t jumped in yet, there’s no time like the present.

Bring down these floating beasts quickly.

Kill it quickly, or it’ll shred you with its brain.

These living tanks are extremely dangerous.
