“Provided and updated” apps are apps that aren’t hosted on Microsoft’s store servers.
These are apps that are listed in the Microsoft Store, but sourced from the app developers own servers.

The new update will pull in app updates for apps not hosted on Microsoft’s servers, but still listed in the Store.
Non-store hosted apps will have to manually be updated by the user.
Previously, these apps could only be updated outside of the Microsoft Store.
Insiders can head to the Downloads page and click Get Updates.
