When an enemy prepares a spell, a series of locks will appear above their head.
Sea of Stars is filled with magical and dangerous dungeons hiding secret treasure.
These locks have symbols indicating different elements and physical attack types.
When this happens, you must attack the enemy using the elements indicated on the locks to break them.
I absolutely loved the combat system of Sea of Stars.
Master Sea of Stars' intricate combat system to defeat titanic bosses.
My favorite mini-games out of them all are fishing and Wheels.
Wheels is my second favorite mini-game and is the most complex out of them all.
you could generate EXP for your heroes and level them up during battle so they can become stronger.
Successfully timing special attacks will inflict massive damage on your enemies.
Wheels was daunting at first, but after figuring out the rules, I became addicted to this mini-game.
What also aided my enjoyment is that you could mitigate the randomness of the slot machines.
This is because enemies in this game dont drop money or loot upon defeat.
By absorbing Live Mana, you can augment your attacks to inflict element damage or boost your special skills' effectiveness.
Instead, they drop only a small handful of food ingredients.
Sea of Stars: Should you play it?
Sea of Stars was an amazing game that blew all my expectations out of the water.
Combo attacks can help break multiple locks on enemies and prevent them from casting spells.
Acquire Relics to alter the game’s difficulty to suit your comfort levels.
Take a break from defending the world with some old-fashioned fishing.
Wheels is an addictive mini-game that had me playing for hours on end.
You can’t break every enemy spell at once during battle, so you will have to decide which enemy takes priority.
Some combo moves can heal your party if you want to conserve your healing items.
I loved every second of playing Sea of Stars and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this awesome JRPG.
