The seasonal prestige model has made way for a more traditional experience.
Prestige has made its return to Call of Duty, but some newer players, or those as forgetful as I am, might be a little confused by it.
One part of Prestige is Permanent Unlock tokens, gaining one each time you level up a Prestige tier.
You don’thaveto, you could just sit at level 55.
When you enter Prestige, almost all of your progress is reset.
When you hit Prestige, you get a whole new raft of rewards to unlock as you keep on levelling.
This is where Permanent Unlock tokens come in.
you better level up through Prestige 1, unlock it again, and then spend your Permanent Unlock token.
It doesn’t just apply to weapons, either.
To permanently unlock my current favorite AR, the AMES 85, I first need to hit its level requirement of 19 on Prestige 1.
It’s only level 19, which doesn’t take too long to get to.
My precious is now permanently unlocked. I’m happy. I think.
