Assembling the OMEN 27k is tool-less and easy thanks to the built-in mount design.
With everything all put together, I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the OMEN 27k is.
To fix this, I had to go into the OSD and change some prefs.
The sound quality from the OMEN 27k’s built-in speakers sounds muffled and distant.

I had to insert the stand into the OMEN 27k’s base and then use the built-in screw to secure them together.
While frustrating, this isn’t surprising as many gaming monitors don’t have good speakers.
It’s pretty nifty if you’re into that kind of thing.
Additionally, the monitor can pulse on one color or flit from one random color to the next.

The included cable clip holds the HDMI and power cable together for a more tidy look on my desk, which is very useful if you’re using the gaming monitor’s KVM switch.
It’s tastefully colorful without being tacky.
Meanwhile, the OMEN 27k’s contrast ratio is respectable but nothing to get too excited about.
The higher the number on the left of the colon, the better.

The OMEN 27k has two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, a USB-C port, a USB-B port, two USB-A ports, and a headphone jack.
The OMEN 27k mostly made it within this range, but it was just barely in some cases.
Just be aware that the OLED display is somewhat pricey.
you could even put these monitors side-by-side for an almost seamless ultrawide monitor experience.

In addition to power and settings buttons, the OMEN 27k also has a useful KVM switch to easily toggle between devices or servers.
It offers a 160Hz refresh rate with 4K resolution and beautifully displays game visuals with HDR capabilities.
I’ve mentioned several different types of displays up to this point.
OMEN 27k: Should you buy?

It brings a soothing, gentle vibe to the monitor without being overbearing or distracting.
If you expect you’ll connect more than one gadget to your monitor, it can come in handy.
There are also plenty of ports to accommodate your PC accessories.

To get the KVM switch to work properly, I had to go into the OMEN 27k’s OSD menu and manually change the KVM USB hosts.

The OMEN 27k’s KVM switch lets me toggle between my tower and my Asus ROG Ally (via the Syntech 6-in1 Docking Station) with just the press of a button.
