Over the last week, I’ve been using the newGeekomA6 mini PC as my main work computer.
This review was made possible thanks to a review sample provided by Geekom.
The company had no input nor saw the contents of this review prior to publication.

This mini PC is compact and only weighs 2.42 lbs.
It’s not the most powerful mini PC out there, but it can definitely handle everyday workloads.
However, it’s best to purchase from a known company that you trust.
I’ve personally had experiences where cheap mini PCs have come with malware installed.

You get everything you need in the box to set this computer up with a monitor.
Geekom A6 What’s in the box?
This works in its favor, making it far less showy than some other mini PCs out there.
As such, it can look good in professional prefs as well as casual ones.

On the front, you get easy access to two USB-A ports and a headphone jack.
Of course, there’s also an SD card reader on the mini PC’s right side.
While it’s by no means a powerhouse, this mini PC can be trusted with everyday activities.

There are plenty of ports to meet your accessory and connection needs.
It even handled neural filters and camera RAW filter edits like a champ.
While it won’t knock your socks off with its performance, this mini PC does alright for itself.
To start things off, I tested the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU by running Geekbench 6.

From there, I ran some 3DMark benchmark tests to better analyze the integrated GPU.
Cyberpunk 2077 also loaded a lot faster with GeForce NOW than it did locally on this mini PC.
After that, I used CrystalDiskMark to evaluate SSD transfer speeds.

The mini PC took 2,767 seconds (~46 minutes) to complete this task.
This isn’t the fastest we’ve ever seen, but it is respectable.
Lastly, I used CrossMark to evaluate the A6’s overall system performance.

While not the most powerful CPU out there, the A6’s R7 6800H is reliable.(Image credit: Windows Central)
The 1,460 score it earned is a bit lower than expected but not horrible.
Just don’t expect to do any graphically demanding tasks locally.
That’s a little louder than a quiet office but also quieter than your average conversation.

The Radeon 680M graphics card earned a respectable score, within a range that was expected.(Image credit: Windows Central)
Even so, I found that the gadget didn’t get all that warm.
They peaked at 132 degrees F (~55 degrees C).
It also has a wide selection of ports complete with two LAN ports.

The A6’s SSD isn’t the fastest, but it also won’t make you wait overly long to load or save data.(Image credit: Windows Central)
It doesn’t take up a lot of room and provides plenty of ports.

It took about 45 minutes for this mini PC to transcode a 4K copy of Tears of Steel in Handbrake.(Image credit: Windows Central)

When running Cyberpunk 2077 locally on low default graphics settings, the game only managed to hit an average of 11 FPS.(Image credit: Windows Central)

When running Cyberpunk 2077 via NVIDIA GeForce NOW on Ray Tracing: Overdrive default graphics settings, the game managed to hit an average of 45 FPS.(Image credit: Windows Central)

The Geekom A6 doesn’t get overly hot with the front of the device peaking at 90 degrees F.(Image credit: Rebecca Spear / Windows Central)

The Beelink EQR6 has an even lower MSRP than the Geekom A6.

Geekom A6 offers 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The Geekom A6 is super compact and won’t take up a lot of room on a desk or behind a monitor.
