The inclusion of hall-effect sticks fits well with GameSir’s tradition of delivering cutting-edge technology at an accessible price.

This Bluetooth edition is especially appealing to folding phone users, offering broader compatibility compared to its USB-C version.

GameSir has steadily gained recognition in recent years, particularly within the budget gaming controller market.

Now, they’ve launched the GameSir G8 Galileo Plus.

Now, they’ve introduced the GameSir G8 Galileo Plus.

The new model supports Bluetooth, making it compatible with a wider range of devices.

Aside from that, there are a few minor upgrades that Ill cover in this review.

The company did not see the contents of the review before publishing.

A USB-C cable is also included for charging the unit.

So, its no surprise that I feel the same about the GameSir G8 Plus.

The core shape and size remain unchanged, and they didnt need to beit’s already the perfect fit.

The controller features a textured finish on the grips and back, enhancing its ergonomic feel.

The G8 Plus, however, uses plus and minus symbols, akin to theNintendo Switch.

PC

Despite this design change, the buttons still function identically.

In fact, its a technologywe wish Xbox would implement in their controllers.

These sticks will remain reliable even after a year of use.

PC

The faceplates are magnetic and pop off, making it easy to customize your setup based on your preferences.

My Samsung found it quickly, and I appreciate how seamlessly Bluetooth works when theres no hassle involved.

Speaking of the Switch, the G8 Plus includes a 6-axis gyroscopesomething the USB-C model lacks.

PC

The controller also features a rubberized housing for your phone, ensuring it stays secure without slipping during gameplay.

Thanks to Bluetooth, the G8 Galileo Plus is compatible with more devices than the USB-C version.

Many marketing images highlight its use with folding phones, a feature many mobile controllers dont support.

PC

While I didnt have a folding phone to test, its assured to fit most models.

Being able to remap controls makes it easier on your thumbs, enhancing comfort during longer gaming sessions.

However, the app is still handy, particularly if your main focus is mobile gaming.

PC

In such cases, the controller may not sit flush because its design fully encompasses the equipment.

This is a notable drawback compared to the original G8, which offers pass-through charging.

I actually prefer that Galileo opts to leave out this feature if it helps keep costs down.

PC

For those seeking greater portability, theTurtle Beach Atomis another excellent option.

This controller features USB-C connectivity,RGB Chroma lighting, haptic feedback, and generally higher-quality components.

However, that $149.99 price tag can be hard to swallow.

PC

Personally, I believe GameSir offers much better value for money at this lower price point.

GameSir G8 Galileo Plus: Should you buy?

You are concerned about stick drift in your controllers.Hall-effect tech offers greater longevity for the sticks.

PC

It features several small improvements over the original model and offers broader compatibility at the same price point.

I still have a soft spot for the Turtle Beach Atom, it’s a quirky design that clips together when not in use so easy to throw in a bag.
