GTA 6is one of the most hyped games in history.
Whether it comesin 2025or early in 2026, I’ll be online when day one is finally announced.

Is GTA 6 worth $100?
The question is, how much will it cost to play on day one?
Will $80+ games save these developers or hurt the waning faith in the market?
They’re not Take-Two, and their games aren’t Grand Theft Auto VI.

Even premium paid titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are turning to the Fortnite model of endless cosmetics to generate extra revenue.
However, that invites the question: do people care?
Some people are totally fine with that.
However, I have some hope.

Here’s a game that could have probably gotten away with asking for more.
Whatever social media I browse, they’re all laughing at this.
Funny of them to assume that if GTA6 is worth $100, their games will be too.
Rockstar is literally one of the only AAA companies that has the reputation and goodwill to charge that much.

Companies will go out of business if they start charging that much for garbage games.
At $80, I would wait for a sale.
At $100, I would set sail.

They haven’t learnt yet with game sales being down due to the $70 price tag.
Some threaten piracy, while others are more legal-minded, saying they’d wait for a sale.
Others bring up exceptional points like developer reputation.

No matter the rationale, they’re all saying the same thing, “No.”
Ubisoft games will often reach deep discounts within months, marking a decline in their sales.
Would Ubisoft be willing to charge $80 for an AAAA-experience Far Cry?

Given their current situation, maybe, but wouldn’t that drive their audience further away?
What about publishers like Microsoft or Sony?
Would they be willing to drive their prices higher?

Suddenly,Game Pass Ultimateis looking real tasty at $20 a month.
Maybe Ubisoft would want to drive users to their subscription service.
With the rising development costs increasing as life progresses, developers and publishers want to offset those expenses.

We get to be the guinea pigs.
Whatever happens, I know this guy isn’t spending a dime more than $70 for any game.
Let us know below or on social media; I’ll double-check to check it out.
